2 men and 2 women have been arrested this morning (Saturday) after a serious stabbing occurred in Carisbrooke last night.
The arrests come after a large police presence was reported in Freshwater as well as the popular family-friendly Monster Truck Motor Festival being held at the County Showground.
The Hampshire & Isle of Wight constabulary have confirmed that the arrests, which took place across the Island from one another were indeed related to the same incident that took place in Carisbrooke last night.
It has been said that the ambulance service responded to a call of a male with serious stab wounds at Alvington Manor View, Carisbrooke, where Police were then called at 23:28.
The suspects, a 35-year-old woman from Newport, 27-year-old woman from Freshwater, 39-year-old man from Newport and 37-year-old man from Newport have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
The group remain in custody at this time.
